Dan is a passionate visionary and remarkable entrepreneur. As the Founder and CEO, Dan provides the direction for EAP and gives vitality to the company’s mission. For the past 15 years, Dan has worked as an entrepreneur and business executive holding leadership positions in a broad range of industries including energy, finance, manufacturing, biotech and construction in Asian, North American and African marketplaces. He founded Empowering Villages, a non-profit organization focused on energy access, environmental sustainability and economic development.
ALFRED NDABARASA
Managing Director
Alfred is a results-driven and seasoned executive with
more than 25 years of comprehensive experience
overseeing and coordinating government projects.
Alfred currently is the Managing Director, consistently overseeing all company departments, meet budget and schedule demands. He
served as a diplomat and government official for the
Government of Rwanda. Alfred worked the past five
years in the private sector managing large construction
projects such as the Kigali Convention Center, EPIC
Hotel and Kivu Marina Bay Hotel.
FLEUR KAYIHURA
Chief of Staff
Fleur's background is richly diverse, having spent her formative years in West Africa and pursuing education in France and South Africa before establishing roots in Rwanda to raise her family. With a blend of experiences from both public and private sectors, Fleur excels in business development and project management. Her multifaceted journey equips her with a profound understanding of effective project execution and development strategies.
DAVID BUCYIBARUTA
Director of Administration
David is a highly organized and proactive professional with 8 years of experience in accounting and finance administration. He currently develops and optimizes strong administrative systems to enable the work of EAP’s company and its employees. David establishes policies to ensure EAP’s procurement and logistics procedures comply with ethical standards and laws. David has a background in local and international logistics, risk-analysis, and audit. Before starting at EAP, David served as the Head Internal Auditor for the Rwanda National Commission for the Fight Against Genocide and the Accounting Manager for Africa Mission Alliance.

PAUL SNIJDERS
Director of EAP Labs
Paul is a highly-capable technical expert with 20 years of experience serving in international financial institutions. He currently oversees EAP Labs under which include the Electrocook and systems technology at EAP. Paul has a comprehensive background in business development for startups, pay-as-you-go arrangements and rural electrification in East Africa. He has focused his expertise on managing IT and developing solar energy. Paul served four years as a Senior Expert for PUM Netherlands, a non-profit organization enabling the growth of small enterprises in developing countries.
GODFREY MAINA
Director of Sustainability
Godfrey is a discerning professional with 9 years of experience in environmental and social management. He currently leads EAP’s environmental and social management systems and ensures regulatory compliance. Godfrey maintains a strong focus on sustainable development and climate resilience for EAP’s projects. He provided environmental expertise for RE projects in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Cameroon and Sierra Leone. Godfrey was the environmental and social expert on the Lihanda Hydropower Project in Kenya, and he is a Lead Expert qualified by the National Environment Management Authority.

Operations & Maintenance
Iddo is a pragmatic Electrical Engineer with 40 years of experience in O&M and a strong background in hydropower plant management. He directs the O&M of all EAP hydropower projects to ensure optimized performance and energy production. Iddo spent the past six years working for the Energy Utility Corporation as a Plant Manager and Senior Engineer of Rehabilitation and Maintenance Planning. He worked as a Plant Manager for 16 years and Electrical O&M Supervisor for 12 years at Electrogaz, a major water and electricity supplier in Rwanda. Iddo has received world-class training across the globe on the installation, maintenance and operation of hydropower turbines.

HAKIZIMANA VINCENT
Deputy Construction Director
Vincent is an experienced Site Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the civil engineering industry. Skilled in Sales, Business Process Improvement and Prepare Maintenance plans, he is a strong engineering professional who graduated from eto gitarama. Vincent has more than 10 years of experience in construction renewable energy, particularly hydro energy. University Diploma in Water & Sanitation Engineering Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Kyambogo University.

VANESSA CYIFUZO
Solar Project Engineer
Vanessa Cyifuzo is a skilled Solar Project Engineer at East African Power, specializing in renewable energy solutions. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rwanda, Vanessa brings expertise in solar projects. She plays a pivotal role in the design, sizing, and maintenance of power plants and distribution lines, driving sustainable energy initiatives across the region. Vanessa’s hands-on experience from HOBUKA LTD, combined with her passion for clean energy, makes her a valuable asset to the team.
